Exactly what data TypeQuick processes, where it goes, and what stays on your device.
TypeQuick uses Qwen large language models from Alibaba Cloud for recognition, polishing, translation, selection editing and Ask. We picked Qwen for its strong multilingual quality and competitive latency. The cloud variant currently runs on Qwen3.5 Omni Flash Realtime; on-device runs a quantised Whisper-class recogniser for speech-to-text only.
When you select a local model, all audio and transcription stay on your machine. Nothing is sent to our servers. Local mode supports speech-to-text only; advanced features like translation, polishing styles and Ask require the cloud mode.
Cloud mode sends your audio over TLS 1.3 to our inference provider, returns the polished text, and discards the audio. We do not store your recordings, we do not retain prompts, and we do not train on your data. Inference runs in the EU and Singapore regions.
We store your email, your subscription status and a per-device installation ID. You can delete your account anytime from the account page; this removes all associated data within 30 days.
History entries and your personal dictionary are stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. They are never uploaded.

Processing of voice and text in cloud mode is based on Art. 6(1)(b) — performance of the contract you accept when using TypeQuick. Account data is processed under the same basis. Optional analytics use Art. 6(1)(a) — your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
All traffic between your browser and our servers runs over HTTPS. Our hosting providers (Cloudflare, Supabase) terminate connections with modern TLS configurations by default.
Our account database is hosted on Supabase (Lovable Cloud), which encrypts the underlying storage at the infrastructure level (AES-256). We do not add a separate application-level encryption layer on top. Local history and dictionary are stored in a standard SQLite database on your device.
Analytics is opt-in. We never read it as a default.
We use privacy-friendly product analytics only if you give us your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). It records page views and feature usage — never your audio, your text or your contacts. You can change your decision at any time.
